They are printed with Stylus Photo R1800 that uses Ultra Chrome inks which means they supposed to last 100 years. They are printed as squares cut of an A4 sheet of Somerset velvet inkjet paper.
The images are drawn using a vintage German fountain pen called a Tropen
Scanned in and then vectorised which means I can print them any size with out any loss of image quality.
NSAD Illustration students spent the summer examining ways of representing the human head.Each student was asked to produce a hundred heads.We put the results of their labour up in one of the corridors at college.We must have had almost 6000 heads.
Here is a set of images I have designed as stickers I’m getting printed at Moo. Looking around for an idea to hold it all together .I used the Fornasetti Themes and variations as inspiration. Replacing the face of Lina Cavalieri with the face I seem to draw on an reoccurring bases.The smiling contented face with eye’s closed which probably derives more from illustrators like Savignac ,Paul Rand (Little 1)and Saul Bass(The Poster for 123).See the whole set in the portfolio section
